See it work
One photo, from the field to publication, in 60 seconds.
Restore it, record consent, write captions from your own notes and build a factsheet. Every step is shown as it happens.
What the video shows
- Make: you describe what you need, and Fieldnia picks the right tool.
- Restore: the photo is checked on your device and location and camera data are removed.
- You record consent before anything is sent. Light and detail are recovered, faces are never redrawn.
- Draft: captions for each channel are written only from the notes you typed.
- Pack: a factsheet is made on your device after a last check before sharing.
Demo with a sample photo used with permission. The outputs shown are examples.
The problem
Field work is clear. Publishing it is not.
Weak photos
Field shots arrive soft, dark or compressed, and the appeal goes out on Friday.
Hidden risk
Location data, faces and thin consent notes travel with the file unless someone stops them.
Thin context
Notes are partial. Generic AI tools fill the gaps with numbers and places nobody recorded.
Slow hand-off
Captions, credits and consent live in chat threads. Design waits and the story cools.
How it works
From field material to publication, in seven steps.
Fieldnia does not replace the communications professional. It removes the repetitive preparation work around them, and keeps every decision with a person.
Field material
Add a photo from the gallery or camera, with the notes you already have.
Restore, DraftVerify
Record consent, remove location and camera data, and blur faces where needed.
On this device100% in your browser. No upload.Restore
Recover detail and light from soft or dark shots. Nothing is added to the scene.
RestoreCloud step. Runs only when you choose.Write
Draft captions, alt text and a short story from your notes, and only your notes.
DraftReview
Unverified names, places and numbers are flagged. You confirm before anything leaves.
You decidePackage
Build a factsheet, carousel or poster with your colours and logo applied. Design is optional, after Pack.
PackPublish
Download PNG or PDF and carry on in the design and publishing tools you already use.

Example workflow
See what changes, and what does not.
The photo gets clearer. The caption stays inside your notes. The hidden data that could put people at risk comes off. Try each tab.
- Before: raw photo, rough note, hidden data
- Fieldnia: restore, protect, write, check
- After: an asset a person has reviewed
Restore sharpens and evens out what the camera captured. It does not add people, change faces or rewrite the scene. Illustration only, not a real field photograph.
Draft from Fieldnia, not yet approved
A new water point in Block 4 was handed over to the community on Tuesday 14 May. Twelve members of the water committee have been trained to carry out repairs.
- Block 4: found in your notes
- 14 May: found in your notes
- 12 trained: found in your notes
Names, places and numbers that are not in your notes are flagged for you to confirm or remove.
Example workflow. Written for illustration, not a real case.

Fieldnia integrity and generic image AI
Generic image AI
Can regenerate the whole image, reshape faces, change surroundings and fill gaps with details nobody recorded.
Fieldnia
Upscales and cleans the photo you took without adding people or objects, evens exposure, removes hidden location and camera data, and flags names, places and numbers missing from your notes.
Our first principle
Nothing invented.
Fieldnia helps with restoration and preparation. It is designed not to add people, places, events, quotes or programme results, and it shows you where a draft goes beyond your notes.
AI assists
- Sharpens detail and evens light in the pixels you captured
- Drafts captions and stories from the context you supply
- Flags names, places and numbers missing from your notes
- Suggests faces to blur when the browser can detect them
Humans verify
- Confirm consent and decide what is safe to show
- Check every face, because detection can miss some
- Edit and approve the final wording
- Tick the publication checklist before export
AI can still make mistakes. That is why the review step is part of the workflow, not an afterthought.
Where Fieldnia fits

Who it is for, and why
For the people between the field and the public.
Different because the stakes are different.
Communications officers
Turn field material into publication-ready content faster, with the checks built in.
Programme teams
Hand communications colleagues photos and notes that arrive better documented.
MEAL and documentation teams
Keep context, consent and source notes next to the outputs they describe.
NGOs and humanitarian organisations
Build a more consistent, privacy-conscious route from the field to publication.
Why Fieldnia
- Built around field realityMade for mid-range phones, slow connections and the notes you actually have.
- Human review stays centralFieldnia drafts and prepares. It never approves anything for publication.
- Privacy-conscious by designChecks run on the device first. The minimum is sent to any AI provider.
- Factuality mattersWriting is grounded in the context you supply, not in creative invention.
- Works with your design toolsFieldnia prepares the asset. Canva, Adobe and your templates stay where layout belongs.
Does Fieldnia invent details?
No. Drafts are built from the context you supply. Names, places and numbers not found in your notes are flagged for you to confirm or remove. AI can still make mistakes, which is why you review every draft.
Are photos stored on Fieldnia servers during the pilot?
No. Fieldnia does not store your uploads on its servers during the pilot. If that changes, the privacy notice is updated first.
When does a photo leave the device?
Only when you choose to run a cloud tool, such as Restore or caption drafting. Fieldnia then sends a compressed copy with hidden data removed, and the minimum needed for that step.
What happens if consent is missing?
If consent is missing for identifiable people, or a child is in frame without consent, export is blocked until identities are protected.
Does restoration change faces or add people?
No. Restoration does not add or alter facial features. Photorealistic generation is available only in Studio, which is off unless you switch it on, is labelled AI-generated image, and never creates a likeness of a real person.
Can I use Canva or Adobe after Fieldnia?
Yes. Fieldnia does not replace your design tools. It prepares the safe-to-publish asset, and Canva, Adobe and your existing templates remain where layout belongs.
Who approves publication?
You do. Fieldnia prepares. It never approves anything for publication.
Who is this for?
Communications officers, programme teams, and MEAL and documentation teams at NGOs and humanitarian organisations who need a consistent route from the field to publication.
Start with your field material
Bring one photo and what you know.
The smallest useful start is one photo and the notes you already have. Restore the photo, draft the caption, build the pack, and review every output before you publish.
- One photoFrom your gallery or camera. Soft or dark shots are fine.
- What you knowWho, what, where and when. Leave out anything you cannot confirm.
- Your reviewCheck consent, faces and wording before anything leaves.
